e-Tools for Girls Investigating Real Life Sciences
Do you like to have fun? Do you enjoy learning new things and meeting new people? Does solving a mystery sound like a good way to spend a week this summer?
If so, then the e-GIRLS or e-tools for Girls Investigating Real Life Sciences (formerly known as Girls in Science Summer Day Camp) summer camp is for YOU!
The e-GIRLS camp is a 6-day-long on-campus, residential science enriched program designed to engage secondary school girls in laboratory research. There are two levels of the camp: a beginning level for 18 girls ages thirteen to fifteen and an advanced camp for 18 girls ages sixteen to eighteen years old (or returning participants).

e-GIRLS Camps:
- Are created and hosted by the Department of Biological Sciences and the College of Education’s Office of Community Engagement.
- Offers exciting hands-on experiences in forensic science investigations and lab skills
- Have teams of 3 campers working with college science student mentors to safely investigate CSI-type mysteries
- Is offered at minimal costs to participants
